World Dog Show Genéve 2023

27.8.2023

Piece of history was made for us at this day! Strong competition for both of our dogs – 79 entries (28 males/51 females). It’s no surprise, considering the event was judged by the esteemed breed specialist Mr. Mark James (GB) from Waterley fame.

First up was Rocky – four beautiful veteran males, all in top condition, running like youngsters and giving their best. Then came the decision – our Rocky made it to the second round, earning the title of ⭐️⭐️⭐️ VETERAN WORLD WINNER ⭐️⭐️⭐️.

Next, it was Arya’s turn – 13 young bitches from around the globe competing for the title. Radek and Arya were focused, enjoying every moment in the ring. As we watched from the sidelines, our fingers crossed tightly. And then it happened! Our baby girl, just 15 months old, clinched the first place, becoming ⭐️⭐️⭐️ JUNIOR WORLD WINNER ⭐️⭐️⭐️. I must admit, I cried tears of joy like a baby 😅.

We were overjoyed and proud, sharing our happiness with friends as the time for the Best of Breed competition approached. Walking into the ring with the winners of the best Junior male, best adult male and female, and best veteran female was a surreal experience. To stand there with my Rocky beside Radek and Arya was beyond anything I had ever dreamed of. As the last judging round commenced, we hoped for the best possible results. And they came – Arya took home ⭐️⭐️⭐️ Best of Opposite, Best Bitch, and Best of Juniors at WDS 2023 ⭐️⭐️⭐️. Just could not believe this is really happening to us! We shared our joy, cookies and champaigne with our cherished friends from Tibetan Terrier world. It’s incredible to meet such wonderful people and have a great time regardless of the results.

The anticipation for the third round – the competition for Junior Best in Group IX – was also exhilarating! We mingled with friends from other breeds, chatting with them and making new acquaintances while watching the other winners in the final ring.

And then came the moment – Radek and Arya entered the big ring with the best juniors in Group IX. As they ran, my heart skipped a beat. They looked magnificent, running free like the wind! Though they didn’t win the top spot, we felt like winners nonetheless – heading home with two World Winners after spending the entire day with the best company ever, full of new experiences.
